Girls’ Christopher Owens Leaves Band Via Twitter

Girls’ frontman Christopher Owens announced this afternoon that he’s leaving the band.  The Girls songwriter took to Twitter, as others have, to announce the departure from the two person band.  There hasn’t been any word yet as to if Chet “JR” White will be continuing the band with a different lineup.  Read on to see Christopher’s words straight from his feed…

On a side note, what’s with everyone taking to Twitter to announce big news?  140 characters to end your tenure with a beloved band?  Seems kinda cheap to me.  Owens used three tweets, so that’s a max of 420 characters.  Whoa… 420.  Trippy shit, bro.
