King B’s Court – WE DO BIG THINGS

Wuzzup, wussup.  Quick check in.  I hope everyone watched the State of the Union the other night, you know cuz you live in the country and all.  Barack is the best public speaker of our generation.  By the end of it, I was sitting on my couch wrapped in Old Glory (no lie).  He hit everyone with the “WE DO BIG THINGS” line, pretty gangster.

So a couple things you need to get on NOW. 

J. Cole –Friday Night Lights. The best new hip-hop artist I’ve heard in a couple of years.  Had it in my headphones for a strong three straight weeks (and for me that’s a pretty incredible run).

Watch the I Used To Be Fat Jordan episode on MTV if it ever plays again.  I never, ever, ever watch MTV but my woman was finishing up watching that fuckin stupid Teen Mom show the other night and it came on afterwards.  Anyway, the trainer in the ep. Is brilliant, too many one-liners to rattle off.  I have been “Boom”ing all week.  “Power-stance”, it’ll give you a whole new perspective on things.

If you’re in the mood for some indy rock, I strongly recommend that you take it back to ‘98 and listen to some Neutral Milk Hotel.  How did I ever miss these guys?  Excellent, excellent, excellent.  They put that Athens, GA rock scene on the map.

Just recently purchased KillZone II used from Gamestop for like 15 bucks.  The third installment comes out in February so I figured I’d brush up with the old jam.  It’s legit too, 2009 Game of the Year.  My user name on PS3 network is KinGB1127, come get some.

I’ve been using SkullCandy earplugs for my cheapo knock around earplugs for the two years of so.  And I’ve gone through 3 or 4 pairs cuz they keep breaking.  Made the switch recently to Sony PIIQ earbuds and they have thus far been amazing.  Way more comfortable, better sound quality, and also pretty cheap (~15 bucks on e-bay).  Enjoy.

One last thing:  Jay Cutler, you are a pussy, plain and simple.  Man the fuck up.  You had a chance to be a hero and you bitched.  You’re not being called out league-wide for no reason, there’s no secret plot against you.  You should have, at the very least, not sat around dejected like a mopey little girl.  You should have rallied your teammates and helped out your backup.  You are an insult to hard-working people everywhere who are out there chasing their dreams every day.
