Carla Harvey spent fifteen years commanding metal's biggest stages with Butcher Babies. Now she is doing her own thing, and the first full record is on the calendar.
Pretty Girls Do Ugly Things drops January 22, 2027. The new single Already Dead is out now with a video, and it is about getting to the point where someone has hurt you so much they can't hurt you anymore. She calls that freedom. That is a lyric from somebody who has lived it.
The guest list is stacked. John 5 shows up on Sick Ones, and Zakk Wylde rips through Hell Or Hollywood. Writing partner is her husband Charlie Benante, who you may know from the drums in Anthrax and Pantera. He wrote the music and played it all on last year's debut EP too.
Also, because this woman is a walking resume: comic book author, embalmer, singer. Most people have one career. Carla Harvey has three, and all of them bleed into the songs.
January cannot come fast enough.
