AC/DC are back on the road and it only took eight years

Eight years after their last full tour, AC/DC tore through 24 songs in Gelsenkirchen with Brian Johnson out front. Some things never change, thankfully.

Eight years. That is how long it had been since AC/DC did a full tour, and Friday night in Gelsenkirchen they made up for every single day of it.

Twenty four songs at the Veltins:

Arena. They opened with If You Want Blood (You've Got It) straight into Back In Black, and from there it was the full arsenal: Thunderstruck, Hells Bells, Highway To Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, T.N.T., and For Those About To Rock to close.

Brian Johnson is out front where he belongs. Angus and Stevie Young on guitars, Matt Laug on drums, and Chris Chaney on bass for his first show with the band. They also slipped in Demon Fire and Shot In The Dark from Power Up, so the new record gets its moment too.

First full tour since 2016. Twenty four songs. Zero signs of slowing down. The salute stands.
