Forty:
plus years in, and Anthrax just put out their twelfth studio album. Cursum Perficio is out now on Megaforce, and they came out swinging with a title-track video.
The clip is directed by Don Argott, shot in black and white, and stars actor, musician, and drummer London May. This guy broke his finger on the first day of shooting, in real chains, and begged them to keep filming. That is commitment. That is also very Anthrax.
Scott Ian says the song is about the big stuff: how you measure your time on earth, whether the struggles were worth it. Charlie Benante says it's the one nobody saw coming that ended up leading the charge.
They celebrated the release right too, with a late-night signing at Guestroom Records after their Louder Than Life set on September 17. Twelve albums deep and still showing up for the fans. Go watch the video, then go stream the record.
