Geese packed the tent and then some at Bonnaroo

Sunset set, packed tent, crowd spilling out past the shadows. Geese played Cobra, Getting Killed, and Trinidad, and Bonnaroo got the memo.

If you want to know who the most talked:

about young rock band in America is right now, ask the tent that could not hold them.

Geese played a sunset set Friday in a packed tent, and the crowd spilled out well past the tent's shadow. The Brooklyn band balanced their chaotic, theatrical sound with gentler folk-rock, and the crowd followed them everywhere. Swaying through Cobra, headbanging on Getting Killed, screaming "there's a bomb in my car" right along with frontman Cameron Winter during Trinidad.

This is a band on a ridiculous run. Their album Getting Killed came out in 2025 to serious acclaim, they played Saturday Night Live, they did Coachella where they covered Justin Bieber's Baby just because they could, and now Bonnaroo.

Every generation gets one band that makes guitar music feel dangerous again. Right now it is Geese.
