Twenty:
two days. That is all that is left until Sick New World takes over Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, and the full set times just landed.
Here is the nightmare scenario, and I mean that as a compliment. Deftones play the Purple Stage from 7:55 to 8:55. Slayer starts on the Green Stage at 9:00. That gives you five minutes to get across the speedway before Slayer plays Reign in Blood front to back for its 40th anniversary. Start stretching now.
System of a Down closes the whole night on the Purple Stage, 10:25 to 11:50. Marilyn Manson is on right before Deftones, and Mastodon and AFI hold down the afternoon. The Green Stage runs Knocked Loose, Evanescence, and The Prodigy before Slayer shuts it down.
The Spiral Stage is where the old heads live: Kittie, Coal Chamber, the Melvins, Clutch at 7:15, Ministry at 7:50, and KMFDM closing it out. And the Sick Stage is a hardcore fever dream: Scowl, Speed, Terror, Glassjaw, Poison the Well, and Underoath closing the stage at 9:25.
Four stages, one day, October 24. Eleven in the morning to midnight. If you can be in Texas, be in Texas.
