Your new stoner rock record is called The Blacklight Sessions

Cincinnati trio Valley Of The Sun dropped their sixth album today on Heavy Psych Sounds. Desert riffs, blues jams, and a ten minute song. Turn it up.

Cincinnati's Valley Of The Sun just put out their sixth record, and it is out today. The Blacklight Sessions lands on Heavy Psych Sounds, on LP, CD, and digital.

Three guys:

Ryan Ferrier on guitar and vocals, Chris Sweeney on bass, Johnny Kathman on drums. Power trio format, and they use every bit of it. Blues jams, psychedelic desert trips, straight up driving stoner riffage. The new video for A Greater Meaning is out now too.

The tracklist is only five songs but do not let that fool you. The Long Song runs ten and a half minutes and Mountain is almost ten. These guys are not here to rush.

Their last single, The Whiskey Elf, channels Ten Years After and Grand Funk Railroad, while Low Not Slow is the pedal to the metal one. This is their first record on Heavy Psych Sounds after self-releasing 2024's Quintessence.

They are taking it to Europe this fall too. Desert rock from Ohio, touring Europe. Love that for them.
